Surgery

Is your pet scheduled to have a surgical procedure performed? Rest assured your pet is in the hands of our well trained staff. While under general anesthesia, using isoflurane, your pets vital sign will be continually monitored.

This includes their pulse rate, EKG, oxygen saturation, respiratory rate and body temperature. After your pet moves to the recovery area, their heart rate, respiratory rate, and body temperature are continually monitored until the pet is fully awake.

All routine surgeries are required to stay overnight to ensure they are fully awake and ready to go home the following morning.

For any orthopedic or specialized surgeries, Dr. Kathleen Mullins, DVM, ACVS, comes to our clinic to perform these specialized procedures.
