In-Hospital Diagnostic Laboratory
Having the ability to run routine blood work in-hospital allows for faster diagnosis of many problems that may be wrong with your pet. This way your pet does not have to wait to start treatment. Earlier diagnosis of liver or kidney disease lets the doctor start treatment faster. Doing a complete blood count shows if your pet may have an infection or is possibly anemic. Getting urinalysis results quicker means treatment for a bladder infection can be started immediately. Also being able to perform the tests in-hospital lets us perform same-day-as-surgery preanestheic blood work before your pet undergoes anesthesia. This way we make sure the organ system used to metabolize the anesthetics are normal.
Dental Service
Haas Animal Hospital recommends yearly dental exams for all pets of all ages. Most pets need to have their teeth cleaned for the first time by the age of 3-4 years old. We use an ultrasonic scaler to remove all the tarter and plaque build-up on the teeth. Then we polish their teeth just like your dentist does with your teeth. Finally we apply fluoride to the teeth. Keeping your pet’s mouth healthy can prevent damage to your pets’ liver, kidneys, heart and lungs. This allows your pet to lead a longer, happy life.
Surgical Services
Is your pet scheduled to have a surgical procedure performed? Rest assured your pet is in the hands of our well trained staff. While under general anesthesia, using isoflurane, your pet’s vital signs will be continually monitored. This includes their pulse rate, EKG, oxygen saturation, respiratory rate and body temperature. After your pet moves to the recovery area, their heart rate, respiratory rate and body temperature are continually monitored until they are fully awake.
Boarding Facility
Are you going out of town and your pet cannot go with you? Let us take care of them. Haas Animal Hospital provides boarding services for dogs and cats. The boarding area is climate controlled. All pets are housed individually. You say your pets do better when they are kept together. No problem. Keeping your pets happy and relaxed is what we strive for here. All dogs are exercised outside 3 times daily and have blankets to sleep on at night.
Nutrition Center
Haas Animal Hospital recommends and uses Purina ProPlan maintenance diets for healthy animals of all ages. For pets that have health problems needing a special diet, Purina Veterinary Diets are just what the doctor ordered. We carry the full line of prescription Purina Veterinary Diets.
